What is Ascended Evolution?
Ascended Evolution is the ultimate upgrade system in Sorcerer Tower Defense. Introduced in Update 25.0, it allows you to permanently evolve specifically designated Mythic units upon reaching their maximum level. This creates a transformative version of the unit with massively boosted base stats and access to Domain Expansions.
🚨 The Golden Rule: An Ascended unit's base stats perfectly multiply with Binding Vows. The meta strategy is to Ascend a unit first, then apply the Honored One trait for an exponential power increase.
Ascension Requirements
The Checklist
To initiate an Ascension at the Evolution Stand in the hub, you must meet these strict criteria:
- Unit must be a valid candidate (e.g., Yuji, Toji, Gojo)
- Unit must be precisely Level 150 (requires extreme XP resource investment)
- Unit must be unequippped from your loadout
Material Costs
Prepare for a severe economic grind. The generic cost for standard Mythic ascensions is:
Costs may vary for specific secret units.
Shard Farming Optimization
You cannot buy Shards with Robux. You must farm them organically through gameplay. The primary avenue for this is Challenge Mode.
| Difficulty Level | Avg. Clear Time | Mythic Shard Drop Rate | Efficiency Rating |
|---|---|---|---|
| Challenge Stage 1-3 | 12 min | 0% (Cannot drop) | Useless |
| Challenge Stage 4-6 | 18 min | 1-2% | Poor |
| Challenge Stage 7-9 | 22 min | 8% | Decent |
| Challenge Stage 10+ | 25 min | 22% per clear | Optimal |
Domain Expansions Explained
Ascended units replace their final normal upgrade with a Domain Expansion ability. This is an active or passive aura that drastically alters the battlefield geometry.
"Malevolent Shrine" (Sukuna)
Class: Absolute AoE Damage
Erases all targets within an immense radius. Completely bypasses enemy shield phases and regeneration traits. The cornerstone of Endless Mode strategies.
"Infinite Void" (Gojo)
Class: Absolute Crowd Control
Permanently halts enemy movement parameters within the aura. Enemies literally cannot progress past the perimeter of the domain. Does not work on Culling Game Bosses.
